The Internet revolution and unpredictable technological developments have changed the way that consumers interact with a brand for ever. Today internet users spend more time than ever watching different types of videos. According to the company “emarketer”, it is estimated that adults in USA are watching on average 1 hour of video daily on several internet platforms of which 33 minutes through mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets. The interesting point is that in 2010 the same audience did not spend more than 1 minute per day on videos!
As Brian Hallligan and Dharmesh Shah describe in their latest book “Inbound Marketing”, “Youtube gets more than 1 billion unique visitors each month. Over 6 billion hours of video are watched each month – that’s equivalent to almost half an hour, for every person on Earth!”
